5 Movies you have to see before you die

This is a list of 5 movies I would recommend to everyone. These are my personal favorites, so don’t get offended if some of your favorite movies are not here. I would also like to say that I am going to exclude the Godfather movies from this list, because I consider them to be seen by everyone.

5. La vita è bella (Life Is Beautiful) This Italian masterpiece from 1997 shows the life of an Italian family during the World War II. What makes this movie a masterpiece is an outstanding performance by the main actor (Roberto Benigni), and his son (Giorgio Cantarini). With a heartbraking ending, this is the one which guarantees tears. Just try to watch it without crying.

4. The Shawshank Redemption 1994 was a year of great movie releases. This one was the second best, but still manages to get onto my list. This movie left a deep impression on me. I find Tim Robbins to be the perfect guy to play Andy Dufresne, the movie’s main character. In this movie the author tried to show the prison break of a misscarriaged prisoner. This movie has a relatively ending, and makes you pleased after you watch it.

3. The Green Mile Another Frank Darabont’s movie has made my list. This 1999 movie is another prison story, showing another falsely accused prisoner, sentenced to death. Although proving his innocence to the prison guards, he still dies at the end, making this a less happy, but quite a good movie.

2. The Dark Knight If you are looking for a superhero movie, look no further than The Dark Knight. This 2008 movie is the second part of the Dark Knight triology of Batman movies. This is the best performance of Batman, but even more important, the best interpretation of the Joker ever. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger have done a terrific job by playing those two roles. It is such an enjoyable movie, by all means.

1. Pulp Fiction Hands down, best movie ever made. This 1994 Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece will forever be my favorite. With a plot that changed the whole film industry, and the cast which hardly any movie can compare with, this is a truly great movie. I wouldn’t recommend this movie, I would make everyone watch it, as a part of graduating, for example. You can’t graduate if you haven’t watched Pulp Fiction. Yes. Definitely.
